Morning Offering
O my God, in union with the Immaculate Heart of Mary (here kiss your Brown scapular as a sign of your consecration – this carries a partial indulgence). I offer Thee the Precious Blood of Jesus from all the altars throughout the world, joining with it the offering of my every thought, word and action of this day.
O my Jesus, I desire today to gain every indulgence and merit I can, and I offer them together with myself, to Mary Immaculate, that She may best apply them to the interests of Thy Most Sacred Heart. Precious Blood of Jesus, save us! Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us! Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
The Power of the Morning Offering
During the fourth apparition, August 19, 1917, Our Lady told them “Pray, pray a great deal and make many sacrifices for many souls go to Hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and to pray for them.”
The Child Jesus appeared with the Blessed Virgin to Lucia on December 10, 1925 saying, “Have pity on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother. It is covered with the thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment, and there is no one to remove them with an act of reparation.”
Through the Morning Offering of Reparation, every action you do throughout the day becomes an act of reparation; it becomes a sacrifice. Graces are obtained, so easily, to endure our daily trails by reciting the morning offering prayer. The trials God allows to endure during the day becomes an act of reparation. All of these sacrifices and penances obtain graces in which the Blessed Mother needs for the conversion of sinners.
